Editorial : This issue of the Newsletter of the Institute for Cultural Anthropology carries on an ambiguous message. It talks about the renewal of our Institute, but it also speaks about the need to temporary suspend its appearance in the current form, or, more precisely, to continue to disseminate information under a new umbrella. However these messages are contradictory only at the first sight. Both decisions are based on the same reason: that is of looking for and finding a way to sustain more promptly and efficiently the institutionalization of social and cultural anthropology not only at Babes-Bolyai University, but also country-wide. Under the pressure of this challenge this issue presents the activities and the developments of the Institute since the appearance of the last Newsletter, and signals the new trend that we assume under the present conditions.
