Nationalist Responses to Economic and Political Crises

The Association for the Study of Nationalities and the Nationalism Studies Program at Central European University are organizing the joint ASN conference in Europe in Budapest in June 2014. The focus of the conference will be on the Nationalist Responses to Economic and Political Crises in Central Europe, the Balkans, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Central Eurasia. Special attention will be given to themes discussing the relationship between economic crises, nationalism and politicized ethnicity. In addition, a number of panels will discuss other aspects of nationalism and ethnic conflict, focusing on Central Europe in particular.
