Research Interests

1. Within the broader 20th-21thcentury history of Hungary and east central Europe, my particular fields of interest are: the recent history of ethnic and national minorities in the region; changes in minority policy in the various countries; and enforced migration (between and within countries) in the aftermath of World War II.
2. The integration of Hungarian refugees resettled from the neighbouring countries in Hungary (1938-1948)
3. Cultural relations between the GDR and Hungary (1949-1991)
4. Events surrounding the 1956 revolution, with a focus on Bács-Kiskun County.
